Living With Energy In Iowa publishes Perspective by Bruce Lacy
In the August 2009 issue of Living With Energy in Iowa, published by the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives, the Perspective column offers three recommendations from Bruce Lacy for electric coop directors and managers when communicating with our policy makers.  These are:

1. Preserve our energy options by maintaining a diverse supply of fuel sources, including nuclear energy, to keep the lights on.

2.  Appreciate the longevity of nuclear power plants that provide long term price stability, supply reliability and significant environmental benefis.

3.  Maintain a global view of energy independence where energy security may be better achieved by participating in robust and diverse global energy markets instead of trying to isolate a state or nation with unpredictable side effects.
